Holy Family Center

Today nearly 4,000 HIV+ patients are cared for by the full-time medical staff at the Holy Family Center (HFC) at Nazareth Hospital. The clinic provides antiretrovirals and assists their HIV+ patients in many aspects of their lives, going far beyond just medical care.

Tree of Lives provides funding for many of the HFC programs including funding pastoral counselors, social work, planning workshops for the counselors and social workers, cervical cancer screening, a medical insurance inititive, skill training projects and an infant formula program.

Home Visit

One of the most memorable times for pilgrims traveling with Tree of Lives to Kenya is to go out into the surrounding villages with HFC social workers and visit in the shacks and shanties of their patients. The welcome we receive is warm and the presence of Christ is mighty.

"As we moved from home to home, I felt privileged to be a part of a mission that began so long ago, of being sent out in Christ's name. I am grateful that Tree of Lives makes it possible for HFC counselors to carry out this Christ-centered work." Bryan Smith, pastor at Geneva Presbyterian Church in Canton, Michigan.
