Nazareth Hospital

Hospital Shhh

Nazareth Hospital is situated in Riara Ridge, about 15 miles north of Nairobi. It is a non-profit mission hospital operating under the Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi.

Nazareth Hospital, an initiative of the Italian Consolata Sisters, was started in 1964 to meet the medical needs of the rural people working in the neighbouring tea fields and coffee plantations. The Consolata Sisters managed the hospital until 1999, when they turned it over to the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (FIHM) from India, who continue with this healing ministry.

Tree of Lives is proud to partner with Nazareth Hospital in assistist charity patients with funding to provide hospital care, prenatal care and counseling for Moms (M2M) and onsite pastoral counseling through trained staff.

Hospital Patient

The hospital is the backdrop for all Tree of Lives mission trips to Kenya. We are graciously allowed to witness their tireless work for the poor, from making rounds with doctors, to visiting patient wards, sitting in on pastoral counseling and attending staff meetings.

Most extraordinarily, we have the opportunity to simply sit with the sick, the dying, the forgotten and the downtrodden. We sit with God's children and they bless us immensely and unforgettably.
