WORLD AIDS DAY

World AIDS Day takes place on December 1st each year. It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness. Founded in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day. The youth at the Holy Family Center join together for a huge outreach on this day. Last year, 25 Holy Family Center peer mentors participated. They tested 120 people for AIDS, 2 were enrolled in the Holy Family Center program and 25 were placed on pre-exposure measures. More than 1,000 youth were reached. Thanks to two donors, Tree of Lives is able to support the Youth Mentor Program for World AIDS Day in 2022 and make it bigger and better. We can't wait to announce all of the details they have planned. If you are interested in supporting World AIDS Day, click here to give.
